My online shopping experience with Eyebuydirect has been nothing short of a nightmare, and I'm sharing it as a stark warning. I ordered glasses on May 4th, assured they'd be ready by May 11th. But now it's May 26th, and I keep getting emails apologizing for the delay. The worst part is, I tried multiple times to call customer service and spoke to someone who was absolutely no help at all. This utter frustration compelled me to leave a review and try to get some answers.
Customer: "I ordered glasses on May 4th, promised May 11th. It's May 26th now, and all I get are apology emails for delays. What is happening with my order?" CS Rep: "I truly apologize for this significant delay, sir/ma'am. I understand your frustration. Let me check the exact status of your order right away." Customer: "I've called multiple times already, and no one has been able to give me a straight answer or any real help. I need to know when my glasses will actually ship." CS Rep: "I see your order is still in production due to an unexpected component delay. We are working to push it through. I completely empathize with your need for your glasses." Customer: "So, another apology and no solution? This is exactly what I mean by no help at all. I was assured they'd be finished, not stuck in limbo." CS Rep: "I understand your disappointment. While I don't have an exact new ship date yet, I can escalate this immediately to our fulfillment team for urgent review and provide you with an update within 24 hours. Would that be acceptable?" Customer: "An update within 24 hours? Fine, but I expect a real answer this time."
The reason I left this review on the website is to hopefully prevent others from falling into the same trap of endless delays and unhelpful customer service.
